Despite all the chaos, cancellations and disruption around the world as a result of the Corona Virus, my service continues to be as busy as ever. This week is another one that is completely fully booked out with students but, as usual, if this changes I will post it to my Facebook page.
Speaking of the dreaded Corona Virus, I posted a blog last week about how it might effect my ability to deliver lessons and the possible options that will be open to students should things in the UK deteriorate. At the time of writing, nothing much has changed in this region, so my lessons are continuing as usual. However, as soon as anything changes I will be letting everyone who has sessions booked in with me know what the situation is. I will do this in the following order:
- Contact those who have lessons in the following day or so that need to be postponed, by text message or voice call.
- Get in touch with everyone else who will be expecting to visit for lessons in the following week or so, giving as much notice as possible.
- Offering those who have had cancelled lessons alternative slots at a date that it is anticipated will be okay to proceed, and / or offer online sessions by Skype. Obviously, online lessons have their restrictions, and I would not be able to offer these to singing students.
With any luck, these measures will be theoretically put in place and then never needed to be implemented. But, I feel it’s better to be over-prepared than to be caught off-guard. That said, if you have any questions or concerns about your lessons or those of your child as the current health scare unfolds, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
