Everyone welcome, with or without prior experience
It promises to be a really fun day, starting with a quick ‘getting to know you’ and then straight onto loads of singing. As well as leaning lots about vocal technique (and being taught an excellent warm-up routine), you’ll be learning tons of songs from hit Broadway / West End shows, and some numbers from recent musical films. To give you an idea of what we have planned, we’re hoping to cover songs from Rent, Glee, The Sound of Music, The Greatest Showman, Wicked, Oliver, Miss Saigon, Les Mis and G. I. Blues!
There’s no need to read music – Sarah and I will do all the hard work for you. And, during your breaks you’ll have the opportunity to learn a little bit about the history of musical theatre and about the theory of musical meter. There’ll even be a fun quiz and a mini-performance at the end of the day!
