A little about my playing:
- I’ve been playing piano and keyboards since childhood.
- I have extensive experience playing piano as a soloist, accompanist and band member.
- I have performed at hundreds of weddings and family events all over Yorkshire and beyond.
- I did my first wedding gig back in summer 1993 at the Bankfield Hotel, Bingley.
- I have a First Class degree in Music from Hull University.
- I perform in rock bands, chamber groups, musical theatre and more.
- I play music of many styles: classical, jazz, easy listening and rock.

When Mark and Rachel approached me about their forthcoming wedding at Leeds Civic Hall, they seemed worried that I wouldn’t be able to play the music that suited their tastes: Dire Straits for the Rachel’s procession, and a Belle and Sebastian song for their exit. When Verity Rushworth (of Emmerdale fame) phoned me up just six days before her wedding day needing a piano player, I checked my diary and called her back within a couple of hours. Luckily, I was able to alter some of my teaching commitments so as to free up the time for her.
Although I’m usually busy either playing or teaching, but I’ll certainly bend over backwards to be able to play for your event, or else I’ll do my best to find someone else that can!
